Ukweli Kuhusu Mchungaji Mhando Kuanzisha Kanisa Lake La Wasabato Wapentekoste

Nimepokea taarifa za Mchungaji Dakta Herry Mhando kuanzisha kanisa lake la 'Wasabato Wapentekoste' kwa masikitiko. Taarifa hizi zilizoanza kama tetesi na kuthibitishwa kwenye ukurasa wa mbele wa gazeti la Majira la leo zimenisikitisha lakini hazijanishtua.

Zimenisikitisha kwa kuwa ujumbe wa 1994 wa Mchungaji Mhando aliyenihubiri pale Mnazi Mmoja mpaka nikabatizwa baharini feri ni moja ya mibaraka mikubwa ambayo Mungu ametupa wanadamu.

Hazijanishtua kwa kuwa hii sio mara kwanza kwa wahubiri mahiri wa Kiadventista ndani na nje ya Tanzania kufuata mkondo huo.

Pengine kisa cha kusikitisha kuliko vyote vya aina hii katika historia ya kanisa la Kisabato ni kuhusu kilichowatokea wahubiri wawili mahiri baada ya Mkutano Mkuu tete wa kanisa uliofanyika Minneapolis, Minnesota huko Marekani mnamo mwaka 1888.

Mkutano huu wa kihistoria uligubikwa na upinzani mkali hasa kati viongozi wazee wa kanisa na vijana hao wawili wachungaji waliokuwa wakichipukia katika medani ya kuhubiri injili. Vijana hawa, kwa jina Alonzo T. Jones na Ellet J. Waggoner, walikuja na ujumbe ambao wazee hao hasa aliyekuwa Rais wa Mkutano Mkuu wa Kanisa la Kisabato duniani, George I. Butler, na aliyekuwa Mhariri wa gazeti la Review and Heralds na mtunzi wa kitabu maarufu cha Daniel and Revelation(Danieli na Ufunuo), Uriah Smith, waliuona kana kwamba ni ujumbe mpya na usiokubalika kama fundisho la Kibiblia kuhusu wokovu, neema na sheria. Huu ulikuwa ujumbe maridhawa wa Righteousness by Faith, yaani Kuhesabiwa Haki kwa Imani.

Mjumbe wa Mungu, Mama Ellen G. White, alihudhuria mkutano huu na alikubaliana na ujumbe huo ulioibuliwa upya. Baada ya mijadala mikali ujumbe ulipokelewa na kuleta uamsho mkubwa miongoni mwa waadventista. Lakini cha kusikitisha ni kuwa baada ya muda wahubiri A. T Jones na E. J. Waggoner waliachana na kanisa. Jones aliishia kujiunga na kanisa lililojitenga kutoka katika kanisa la Kisabato. Waggoner yeye aliishia kutengana na kanisa baada kuvunja ndoa yake. Kabla ya hapo walijiunga na Dakta John H. Kellog ambaye naye alikuwa ameanza kupingana na imani ya kanisa kwa kufundisha pantheism, yaani 'imani ya uungu katika kila kitu'.

Historia hii ya Jones na Waggoner, pamoja na ya wahubiri wengine maarufu kama Dr. Desmond Ford na Mchungaji Meschack Nyagori, ndio hasa imenifanya nisishtuke kusikia kuwa Mchungaji Mhando ameamua kujitoa katika Kanisa la Waadventista Wasabato "baada ya mafundisho yake yenye miujiza, uponyaji na utajirisho kukataliwa na Kanisa hilo" (Majira 29/12/2008 uk. 4).

Ni kweli kabisa mahubiri ya Mchungaji Mhando katika miaka ya hivi karibuni yamekuwa na ujumbe fulani muhimu kwetu hasa kwetu sisi ambao tulikuwa tunadhani ukristo unaendana na umaskini kana kwamba ukristo = umaskini. Pia ni kweli kabisa kuwa kwa kiasi kikubwa mahubiri yake yalituletea mwamko mkubwa wa kuwa watu wa maombi na watu wa uponyaji hasa ukizingatia kuwa hatukuwa mstari wa mbele katika huduma ya uponyaji. Yote haya ni mafundisho ya Kibiblia kama Agizo Kuu la Yesu Kwetu katika Marko 16:17-18 linavyodhihirisha.

Sasa kama mafundisho hayo yalikuwa ni ya Kibliblia/Kiroho tatizo lilikuwa wapi? Tatizo liko wapi? Hakika tatizo ni kwenye msisitizo. Na suluhisho linapatikana kwenye msingi wa mahubiri.

Pale msisitizo wa injili unapojikita zaidi kwa mwanadamu na mafanikio yake badala ya Mungu na mapenzi yake hapo ndipo panapokuwa na tatizo. Injili inapokuwa ya utajirisho wa mwanadamu zaidi ya inavyokuwa ya ufunuo wa Mungu huo ndio unakuwa mwanzo wa kutengana na ujumbe wa wale mitume waliosema, kwa ujasiri, "imetupasa kumtii Mungu kuliko wanadamu" (Matendo 5: 29). Naam injili inapokuwa ni chakula cha kimwili zaidi ya ilivyo chakula cha kiroho huo ndio unakuwa mwanzo wa kutoungana na neno la Yesu Kristo kusisitiza kuwa "Chakula changu ndicho hiki, niyatende mapenzi yake aliyenipeleka, nikaimalize kazi yake" (Yohana 4: 34).

Kwa kweli sijui ni nini hasa kimemfanya Mchungaji Mhando aanzishe kanisa lake. Zaidi ya yote sijui ni nani hasa amempa hilo agizo - Mungu au Mwanadamu? Ila kama yote yaliyoandikwa katika gazeti la Majira la leo ni ya kweli basi hakika kuna hitaji kubwa la kurejea mafundisho yetu ya msingi ya Kibiblia. Na ni vyema tukafanya hivyo huku tukikumbuka kuwa Mwana wa Mungu mwenyewe alituombea hivi kwa Mungu kabla hata hatujazaliwa na kuwa Wakristo:

"Wala si hawa tu ninaowaombea; lakini na wale watakaoniamini kwa sababu ya neno lao. Wote wawe na umoja; kama wewe, Baba, ulivyo ndani yangu, nami ndani yako; hao nao wawe ndani yetu; ili ulimwengu upate kusadiki ya kwamba wewe ndiwe uliyenituma. Nami utukufu ule ulionipa nimewapa wao; ili wawe na umoja kama sisi tulivyo umoja. Mimi ndani yao, nawe ndani yangu, ili wawe wamekamilika katika umoja; ili ulimwengu ujue ya kuwa ndiwe uliyenituma, ukawapenda wao kama ulivyonipenda mimi" (Yohana 17: 20-22).

    Japokuwa niko nje ya nchi lakini mtandao umenifanya kupata habari hizi za Dr. Herry Mhando. Napenda kutumia nafasi hii kuwaomba waadventista kote waliko na hasa wale wanaomfahamu Dr. Herry Mhando kutumia nafasi hii kutafakari kwa umakini na kujiuliza ni wapi wanapaswa kurekebisha mahusiano yao na Mungu wao. Mungu wetu si Mungu wa dini tu bali ni Mungu wa Kweli. Ninaamini tukikubali kutafakari maisha yetu na kutoa mioyo yetu kwa Mungu basi, Yesu aliye hai hatasita katu kujibu maombi yetu katika kweli tupu. Tutafundishwa yale tusiyoyajua pia.
    Ni kweli kwa msabato yeyote wa kawaida kushtuka kwa yale yanayosemekana (kama ni kweli) Dr. Mhando ameanzisha kanisa lake au ameanzisha mahala pengine pa ibada. Mimi nadhani hatujamuelewa Dr. Mhando vizuri. Kuanzisha mahala pa ibada si kuanzisha jambo mbaya na kama bado ana heshimu kila sheria na imani ya kisabato. Najua si kawaida kwa wasabato wengi hasa Tanzania kuona mambo kama haya. Ni jambo jema tu kama Dr. Mhando ameanzisha mahala pa ibada na anaiheshimu sabato njema tena anafundisha katika kweli bila kupinda neno la Mungu. Ninachoweza kusema tu ni kwamba: kuwa na “worship ministry”-the light barrier, ni ministry inayojulikana kwa wasabato wengi tunaomfahamu Dr. Mhando. Kuhama dini ni tofauti na kuendesha ministry ni tofauti. Namna ya ibada si jambo la kumhukumu nayo mtu kwa maana ibada ni mawasiliano ya Mungu na mhusika mwenyewe na hakuna anayeombwa kuunganisha mahusiano hayo wala kuongoza namna ya watu kuwasiliana na Mungu wao. Kama wakiomba kwa kulia mbona katika biblia wapo waliolia vile vile, kama ni kuhubiri utajirisho mbona ni kweli kuna walio BARIKIWA kwa mali? Kama kuwa na mali walibarikiwa basi ni kweli ni mibaraka na kama sivyo ni vinginevyo. Bado nakubaliana na Dr. Mhando kwa namna yoyote anayoamua kumuomba Mwenyezi Mungu na vile Mungu anavyomuongoza katika hilo. Tuwe na kigugumizi katika kuhukumu kama walivyofanya walio wa-ulimwengu. Dunia hii wote tunapita na safari ni kule Kaanani ya mbinguni. Mengine ni utaratibu tu wa kutuongoza namna ya kuanza safari.
    Wapendwa, si kwamba ninaanzisha mjadala lakini ninajaribu kutafakari pale panapoonekana ni kosa. Kama kweli tunadhani ni kosa basi tungeanza kuzuia ministries ndani ya sabato. Ministries zina miongozo ya pekee chini ya sheria za kisabato. Ni kipi kimekuwa kinyume kinachoonekana leo na siyo wakati ule anahubiri na wengi wetu kama wanavyoshuhudia walibarikiwa?
    Mbona hatukusema kama hata hiyo mibaraka ni makosa? Kwa sababu hata hiyo wengi mnasema ilikuwa kosa! Turejee katika maandiko, tumwachie Mungu amtumie mtumishi wake vile anavyopenda na siyo kama tulivyozoea… Tusiwe kama mafarisayo waliotaka Yesu aje wanavyotaka na si kama Mungu anavyotaka. Mfano wa namna hiyo ni ule wa Ev. Mwakasege: bado ni Mlutheri wa kila kitu lakini ana ministry ambayo haiingiliwi na KKKT.
    Kilicho chema ni kumuomba Mungu atusaidie tuone kama ni mpanuo wa Mungu katika kanisa lake na kutumia watu wake katika kulibariki kanisa na watu wake.
    Yesu awe kiongozi.

    1. thanks for all that but we should understand that the wealth and riches that Christ tells us is the treasure in heaven.so when we insist on the earthly riches then we have a problem.that's y the Adventist church has a different perspective on the prosperity gospel.there is no way you can start your own ministry outside the church and then claim to be together with the church.we must respect the church structure.acts 15,6,9.pls read those chapters.they shows us well the importance of the church structure.nowhere in the bible we read that when you disagree you move out and begin your own ministry.thank u consider prayerfully.

    Taasisi huru za uinjilisti za Kisabato, kama vile It is Written, Kenneth Cox Ministries, Amazing Facts na kadhalika, zina uhusiano wa karibu na kanisa la kisabato na haziendeshi makanisa yao yenyewe pia mafundisho yao na aina ya uinjilisti wao haitofautiana na misingi ya kanisa kama ilivyoanishwa katika Biblia na Roho ya Unabii. Zipo taasisi ambazo kutokana na migongano na kanisa zenyewe sasa zinajiendeshea uinjilisti, makanisa na makambi yao wenyewe. Hiyo ndio hali nayoihofia mimi kuhusu hili kanisa la Wasabato Wapentekoste hasa baada ya kupata maelezo haya kutoka kwa mtu aliyehudhuria ibada kwenye kanisa la Mchungaji Mhando:

    "Ni tarehe 27/12/2008. Sote tumeamka mapema hapa nyumbani kujiandaa tukasali kanisani. Leo hatuendi kusali Mikocheni SDA kama ilivyo kawaida. Leo tunaelekea Sinza Christian Centre. Hapo awali, katikati ya wiki, mwinjilisti Mwaipape aliialika familia yetu kujumika nao siku ya Sabato asubuhi kwa ajili ya ibada. Mimi binafsi sikujua kwamba kutano hili si tena sehemu ya kanisa letu la Waadventista Wasabato. Lakini, mbali na hayo, kwa sababu Dk. Mhando amekuwa rafiki yetu wa siku nyingi, hatukuwa na budi kukubali nafasi tuliyoipata ya kuyasikiliza tena mahubiri yake.

    Najua wengi wenu mngependa kufahamu ibada hiyo ilikwendaje. Kwa kweli, siwezi kuwaelezeeni kila kitu kama ilivyokuwa. Ninachoweza kuwaambia ni kuwa mtindo wa ibada hiyo haukutofautiana sana na wa makanisa ya kilokole (kipentekoste) – isipokuwa hakukuwa na 'Glosalalia' au kunena kwa lugha. Lakini mtindo wa ibada yao haunisumbui sana kama ujumbe unaotolewa. Nimesalia makanisa mengi ya kiadventista nchini Afrika ya kusini yanayoendesha ibada zao namna hiyo. Nchini Namibia nimetembelea magereza na kuwakuta wafungwa Waadventista Wasabato wakiabudu kwa mitindo hiyo hiyo. Kwa hiyo, mimi binafsi sisumbuliwi kama ndugu Mhando akiamua kuendesha ibada zake kwa mtindo huo huo. Ila tu, anachokifundisha ndicho kinanchonitia wasiwasi.

    Mimi sio mwanatheolojia. Wala mimi sio mchungaji was kanisa letu ila kuna machache anayofundisha rafiki yetu, Dk. Mhando, kuhusiana na utajirisho ambayo sikubaliani naye. Kwanza kabisa, Dk. Mhando amejenga kanisa lake juu ya msingi huu mmoja. Sijui ni kwa nini na ni lini alipoamua kuachana na mafundisho mengine na kuikumbatia injili hii ya utajirisho na mafanikio. Miaka kumi iliyopita, mahubiri yake yalikuwa mapana na yenye uwiano. Siku hiyo ya tarehe 27/12/2009 tuliposalia Sinza, kulikuwa na mahubiri matatu yaliyofanyika. Hubiri la kwanza lilitolewa na mwinjilisti Mwaipape na mawili ya mwisho yalitolewa na Dk. Mhando mwenyewe. Lakini mahubiri yote matatu yalisisitizia uponyaji, utajirisho na mafanikio. Nilitamani sana kama alau mmoja wao angezungumzia kuhesabiwa haki, miongozo ya maisha ya Kikristo, karama za roho n.k. Lakini wapi!

    Kwa mtazamo wangu, mahubiri ya Dk. Mhando yamepoteza muelekeo. Yeye anaamini kwamba mhadhiri wa chuo kikuu aliyeshindwa kununua gari amelaaniwa. Rafiki yetu, Dk. Mhando, amesahau kuwa mibaraka haiji siku zote kwa mali wala pesa. Mfalme Suleimani, baada ya kuomba hekima, alibarikiwa na utajiri mwingi. Lakini baba yake, Daudi, alibarikiwa na ushindi katika vita na mapambano yake yote – na wa sio utajiri. Huyo mwalimu wa chuo kikuu aliyeshindwa kununua gari ana ndoa yenye furaha, watoto wenye akili na mafanikio katika maisha yao.

    Utajiri sio dhambi kama Mungu ni wa kwanza moyoni mwako. Ibrahimu, Isaka na Ayubu walikuwa matajiri sana. Lakini hakuna hata mmoja wao aliyeutafuta utajiri huo kwa nguvu. Utajiri wao ulitoka kwa Mungu baada ya kuonyesha utii na uaminifu wao. Tunapotia mkazo kwenye utajirisho watu huweza kusahau vipengele muhimu zaidi vya Injili. Hakika, hata Injili yenyewe inaweza ikapotoshwa. Injili ya Yesu Kristo imejengwa kwenye kanuni za kutoa na sio kupokea tu. Injili iliyopotoshwa humfanya mtu aende kanisani akitaka kupokea tu. Badala ya kutoa zaka au kusaidia wengine kwa kuitikia upendo wa Mungu, watu hushurutishwa kutoa zaka zao na sadaka zao kwa kuwa tu wameahidiwa kupokea (c.f 1 Tim 6:10, Efe 5:20 na 2 Kor 9:7). Swali ni, uwakili huhusisha upokeaji tu au na wajibu? Tuwe mawakili waaminifu kwa kuwa tumeahidiwa mibaraka au kwa kuwa ni wajibu wetu?

    Huduma ya Dk. Mhando na ibada yake inaongozwa na yeye peke yake. Hakuna mtu mwingine anayeruhusiwa kusimama mimbarani kuhubiri, ukiachana na mwinjilisti Mwaipape ambaye huendesha ibada ya asubuhi. Bado sijaelewa ni kwa nini. Sijui ni nini kilichowafanya wachukue uamuzi huo kwa sababu masomo na mijadala yetu ya lesoni ya shule ya Sabato ndiyo inayonifanya nibaki kuwa muadventista mpaka hivi leo. Sisi waadventista ni watu huru. Tuna uhuru wa kufikiri na kuchangia mawazo yetu baada ya kulisoma Neno la Mungu. Kanisa la Waadventista Wasabato linatupa uhuru wa kuyaendesha makanisa yetu kwa mifumo tuichaguayo wenyewe ikiwa haipingani na kanuni za kanisa mama. Makanisa yetu huendeshwa na baraza la kanisa, halmashauri ya kanisa na madarasa ya shule ya Sabato. Vikundi vyote hivi ndani ya kanisa ndivyo vinachangia katika kutoa maamuzi mbalimbali. Hili ndilo jambo lililoliweka hai kanisa la Waadventista Wasabato mpaka hivi leo mbali na changamoto mbalimbali tulizopitia.

    Mahubiri ya Dk. Mhando ya mwaka 1998 yalijawa na miujiza mingi. Marehemu mama yangu alipata scholarship yake ya kuendelea na masomo yake baada ya Mhando kumuombea. Maelfu ya watu walibatizwa Jangwani na maelfu zaidi wanaweza kushuhudia miujiza iliyotendeka kupitia huduma yake ya uponyaji na maombezi. Lakini kilichobadilika hapo katikati ni fumbo kwa wengi wetu. Nayasema haya nikiumia sana moyoni kwa kuwa Dk. Mhando ni rafiki yetu wa karibu sana. Mama yangu alipofariki, Dk. Mhando alikuwa akija nyumbani mara kwa mara kutuombea. Mwaka 2000/2001 alifanya mahubiri tena Namibia na sisi tukiwa huko. Nakumbuka hata mke wake alitufundisha mimi na dada yangu namna ya kupika chakula cha kivegeterian tulipokuwa Windhoek. Kwa kweli, hawa walituonyesha upendo kweli kweli. Dk. Mhando ametoa mchango mkubwa sana katika kanisa letu na familia yetu. Nimeumia sana kusikia kujitenga kwake na kuanzisha kanisa lake mwenyewe, ingawa sijui ni roho gani zinazomwongoza kuyafanya yote haya. Lolote liwalo, hebu tumuombee ndugu yetu huyu. Mungu ametenda miujiza mingi sana kupitia kwake na Mungu anaweza kutenda mwujiza ndani yake pia."

    Kenedy pengine ni kweli hatujamuelewa Mchungaji Mhando vizuri kama ambavyo Waisraeli wengi hawakumuelewa Paulo, Yeremia, Ezekieli na hata Yesu mwenyewe. Lakini daima tukumbuke kuwa kwa mujibu wa Isaya 55: 9 mawazo ya Mungu yako juu sana kuliko mawazo yetu wanadamu. Na tukumbuke Neno la Mungu huyo linatufundisha namna ya kuyaelewa na kuyapima matukio kama haya.

    Kanisa ni umoja wa Kristo na Wakristo. Na kichwa cha kanisa ni Kristo mwenyewe. Amen.

    Through e-communication I am informed about Dr. Herry Mhando. With all respects, I would request SDA members wherever we are to revisit again our relationship with God and more over to open our heart and listen what God is saying to us and not what we want God to tell us. It has been a tendency to many of us to jump on judgments instead of studying the environment as if we do not know that it is a sin to judge. Let’s be careful!
    If we will let our heart ready to hear the voice of God, The Holy Spirit will fill our hearts and teach us the God’s direction, and His truth. He will never keep quite. If we pray to Him, surely, He will answer our prayers.
    It is true that for some Adventist to receive these news with a great surprise if Dr. Herry Mhando has decided to leave SDA. The source of these news is questionable, GAZETI LA MAJIRA! Anyway I think, and again I insist, we got him wrong. To establish a prayer place or to start a church is never a bad thing, but rather the best an evangelist like Dr. Mhando to do, as long as he is teaching and leading people to GOD. In case we do not know, Dr. Mhando has a ministry known as “The light barrier”, as far as I am concerned, ministry is not under the hierarchical leadership of the church but may be direct to the general conference (in case). To leave the church and to have a worship place to reach other people are two different things. Yes, he can only reach others only if he will open the door out there and not within the SDA church doors. They will never come in the SDA church but they can easily attend the ministry meetings as this one Dr. Mhando has started.
    In this forum, people are concerned with the way of worship and what is taught. Brothers and sisters, as I am reading my bible, the word of God tells me that, we pray in truth and spirit. The intimacy with God is personal and I would encourage you to read the testimonies of Jesus on how he was questioned what and when to serve God! Do not allow something, or somebody, to mediate our communication with God. No operator is required to intervene in whatsoever. Does it matter if people are crying when praying? Do you really want to know why do they cry? Why do you want to know, so that you can go ahead and gossip! That is another part I love about Jesus. He left this to be direct between Him and the person himself. Helleluiya! Don’t you know in the bible where people worshiped and cried? Don’t you know even Jesus himself cried and even he blood-like sweated. If Jesus cried, what is new about Dr. Mhando and SDA members to cry.
    Another issue raised here is what the sermon was. Brothers and sisters, in some cases we are wrong. How could you expect a preacher to preach about everything on the same day? You need to go next time, and another and another… and get another sermon. I believe he will teach about something else. In case we do not know, all sermons depend on the audience. The sermon must be helpful in steps. You cannot start evangelism with Revelation! No way. If the question is about blessings, yes technically bible says so. Joseph was blessed in the land of Egypt. His father and uncle were blessed with the same. Ibrahim, the grand pa was blessed. Job was blessed, I don’t see why we question about the blessings.

    For a lecturer to go without a car! In fact, it is not common for a Lecture to go without a car! It is tax free, anyway in case they don’t know. BE BLESSED.
    I still agree with Dr. Mhando for however he is led by the Holy Spirit to worship God and help others and teach what he was called for. If some do not want to listen the message, it means the message was not meant for you and let others to receive their blessings. Without knowing everyone will be fully blessed and no more blessings as Isaac could not bless both Jacob and Esau. The blessings were no more. God has given a chance for Seventh Day Adventist to receive the blessings, does not matter through whom. Present your humble heart and raise your hands, surely you will receive the miracle. If we block our blessings we will receive nothing and rather to work on the negative judgments. The God’s way is never planned by a man but Himself.
    I am not introducing a debate and by any case I will not get there, instead I am trying to remind those who are still living in the curse to come out and receive blessings not only through Dr. Mhando but to all men and women of God. The service of ministries in the church will open many doors that were unknowingly blocked by our thinking and not SDA teachings. There is no SDA teaching that is not in the bible. What happens is that we do not listen the voice of GOD. To what is so different today that Dr. Mhando is teaching from that he was teaching before when people were getting blessed? If the blessings we received during that time, as some of us are saying, are different, then this is strange to me and others, I guess! Lets listen from God, let His servant to serve the way he is guided by the spirit of God who is working in him to bless people of GOD. We must be different from Pharisees who expected Jesus in their own ways and they are still waiting for the messiah until today.
    We have similar cases in Tanzania. Evangelist Mwakasege has a ministry but still a Lutheran and respect his pastors and the KKKT does not intervene with any ministry movements.
    The best is to ask God so that His church can extend to the level where the church and people are blessed.

    Asanteni kwa kueleweshwa zaidi… Ni vyema kueleweshana. Ushuhuda wa Mugisha una msisitizo na naona si kama nilivyoichukulia katika maelezo ya awali.
    Katika maoni yangu ya awali nilisema ni vyema tuombe na pia tuombe busara za Bwana katika wakati huu kwa sababu kwa maelezo yaliyofuata yanathibitisha kuwa Dr.Mhando ameanzisha kanisa na miongozo mipya. Kama ndivyo linalorejewa ni maombi kwa Bwana wa kanisa letu kwa maana ndiye tunayemwangalia juu. Wote tulikosea nami nikiwa kiongozi wa wale waliotangulia kuwa wadhambi nimemtumainia Roho wa Mungu na hakika ameninyooshea mkono.
    Sina shaka kuwa yaliyosemwa ndivyo. Siwezi kupata gazeti la majira online na nabakia kuamini kuwa si ministry ile ya Light Barrier bali ni miongozo mipya. Labda kwa hili la kukusanya sadaka (siyo zaka), ningelisemea kwa ni kwa vile imepokelewa hivyo. Kuna sadaka ambazo zinatumika kwa makusudi maalumu. Kuna wakati nikiwa nasali na kanisa la Ebenezer SDA Church lililoko Philadelphia (PA), sadaka na sadaka zilikuwa zikitumiwa kwa asilimia 100 kanisani mpaka iwe sadaka na zaka ya sabato fulani maalumu.   6. Blessed people, natumai ya kwamba mu wazima wote na mungu anawabariki. Nimepokea kwa masikitiko makuu habari ya kujitenga Dr Mhando na kanisa la kisabato, na kuanzisha kanisa la kwake la wasabato wapentekoste (sio huduma, kanisa!).

    Ndugu zangu, sisi tulioko huku nje habari hizi hatuzipati kwa ujazo kamili kama wazipatao waliopo nyumbani. Mimi nilitumiwa tu e-mail, na baada ya kufatilia hapa na pale nika-confirm kwamba Dr Mhando, mwinjilisti aliyebarikiwa kabisa na ambaye Mungu amemtumia sana kubariki watu wake, amejitenga.

    Kama alivyosema mdau hapo juu, kujitenga au kuwa na huduma pembeni si shida, mradi misingi mama ya kanisa letu unaendelea nayo basi Mungu akubariki.

    Jambo moja, ambalo naomba watu waliopo huko nyumbani watufafanulie, na ambalo limenisikitisha (kama ni la kweli) ni kwamba nimesikia kuwa pamoja na kujitenga, Dr Mhando ametoa shutuma na maneno makali na mazito juu ya kanisa mama la waadventista wasabato. Je ni kweli? Je alisema nini? Tunaomba mliopo nyumbani mtusaidie, na sisi tutaendelea kufuatilia kujua nini kimetokea.

    Yote kwa yote, machafuko mengi (haya yakiwemo) yametabiriwa hata katika biblia, na tunachotakiwa kufanya kama wamoja ni kupiga magoti na kumuomba Mungu atuongoze katika njia iliyo sahihi. Yeye anajua, na atatuongoza na kutufikisha nyumbani.

    Mdau Kennedy, Gazeti la Majira is not questionable. In fact, the same paper has been used to a great effect to announce and draw people to Dr Mhando's meetings (plus others, and radio stations). I do not think we should call into question the credibility of a paper simply because they reported this piece.

    Mungu atubariki na kutuongoza tunapoendelea kuomba kuondolewa utata unaotaka kugubika mwanzo wa mwaka huu mpya.

Ni kweli kila mtu amtafute Mungu kwa wakati huu ili ajue mapenzi yake. Ila ndugu Kenedy, Hakuna mahali katika Biblia tunaaambiwa kila mtu afanye anavyotaka kwa vile hahukumiwi.ILA KILA MTU AFANYE ANAVYOTAKA AJUE TU KUNA HUKUMU HATIMAYE(MHUBIRI 12). Ikiwa misingi yako ni kwamba kila mtu aabudu anavyotaka usiwahukumu pia na mafarisayo maana wao walipofanya hivyo kumkataa Yesu walijua wanamfanyia Mungu ibada. Halafu unatupatia reference ya Mwakasege na walutheri je, unamaanisha kanisa la Waadventista litoe uhuru wa kila Mtu kuanzisha kanisa lake? Nina mashaka nawe kuwa unatawanya kondoo sio kukusanya kwa ushauri wako. Kumbuka Yesu alisema nitawakusanya kondoo wangu ili wawe katika zizi moja na mchungaji mmoja. Hiyo ndio Tofauti. Mbwa mwitu hujeruhi kondoo na kuwatawanya. Mchungaji mwema huwaponya na kuwakusanya. Soma Yohana sura ya 10. Kama unatushauri kila mtu amwige Mhando KANISA LA WASABATO LITASAMBARATIKA. PIA kutuziba tusifichue uasi wake kwa kututishia kuwa mibaraka yake ilimpita Esau ikaenda kwa Yakobo, UKADHANI TUKIKATAA YA MHANDO TUTAPITWA NA MIBARAKA!. Umekosea. Esau ndiye aliyeng'ang'ania ya mwili(chakula) akauza ya kiroho(uzaliwa wa kwanza nembo ya kuzaliwa mara ya pili katika ufalme leo). Soma kisa cha mwanzo vizuri.   8. Lifuatalo ni jibu la baadhi ya maswali yaliyoulizwa katika barua pepe hapo chini iliyotumwa na rafiki yangu:

Walioandika makala hiyo wanasema walihudhuria ibada ya ya ufunguzi. Majina yao yamenipa hisia kuwa wao ni Wasabato pia kutokana na historia/jiografia ya kanisa letu. Sasa kama wao ni Wasabato pia sijui hilo limechangia kiasi gani kuathiri uwiano wa taarifa yao. Ila kwa ujumla wametumia sana nukuu za yale waliyoyasikia. Mhariri wa gazeti linaloheshimika kama hilo sidhani kama anaweza akaruhusu taarifa kama hiyo ichapwe ukurasa wa mbele wa gazeti bila kuwa na uhakika na kilichoandikwa hivyo inawezekana kabisa waandishi hao walirekodi huduma hiyo kwenye kanda.

    Kuhusu hilo suala la lesoni kuna sehemu waandishi hao Majira wanamnukuu Mchungaji Mhando akisema kuwa huwa anaisoma lesoni. Ila anaisome yote kwa siku moja kwa kuwa ina ujumbe mwepesi. Waandishi hao wanamnukuu pia akisema kuwa hawakatazi waumini wake kusoma lesoni majumbani kwao. Ila hawataitumia kanisani. Hoja hapo tena inaonekana sio lesoni kutokuwa na ujumbe bali ni lesoni kuwa na ujumbe mwepesi unaowafaa wale ambao ni wachanga katika injili. Hivyo, waumini watakuwa wanatumia mafundisho ya Biblia moja kwa moja. Ndivyo nilivyoilewa tafsiri hiyo. Na baada ya kusoma mrejesho wa Mugisha aliyehudhuria ibada ya tarehe 27 nimehitimisha kuwa kweli huko lesoni haitumiki. Lakini mtazamo huu sio mgeni maana nina marafiki zangu ambao walishaacha zamani kusoma lesoni na walikuwa wanatumia hoja ya kudai kuwa lesoni inatumia sana nadharia/mawazo na hadithi/hekaya za kibinadamu kufundisha Neno la Mungu badala ya kutegemea zaidi Roho ya Unabii na Biblia yenyewe. Ila huo ni mjadala mwingine ambao Unahitaji muda na utafiti mpana. Suala la kuzingatia hapa ni, je, mafundisho yanayotelewa huko yanaendana na kipimo cha Biblia cha Isaya 8:20?

    Umeuliza pia kuhusu Muinjilisti Mwaipape. Inaaminika kuwa huyo ni moja ya wainjilisti wenye karama ya maombezi/uponyaji. Ameanza kutambulika zaidi baada ya wewe kuondoka labda ndio maana hujamsikia. Wale waliokuwa wanahudhuria maombi ya mkesha ya kule kanisani Sinza (ambayo nasikia yalisitishwa na Uongozi wa Union) walikuwa wanatoa shuhuda nyingi kuhusu huduma yake. Baadhi yao wamo humu, pengine wataelezea zaidi.

    Napenda kuanza kwa kuwatakia heri ya mwaka mpya.

    Kuna methali moja inasema “Mafahali wawili hawawezi kukaa kwenye zizi moja” kumradhi kama kuna nilipoikosea hiyo methali muisahihishe ila ujumbe wa ninalotaka kulisema mumeupata.

    Binafsi ninampenda sana Pastor Mhando na ninaamini nimeshapokea mibaraka mingi tu thru yeye akitumiwa na Roho wa Mungu, kule jangwani na sehemu mbalimbali ambapo nimehudhuria mikutano yake ila swala zima la kuanzisha kanisa lake sijalielewa bado mpaka sekunde hii nabado sijaelewa tofauti hasa ni hiyo habari ya utajirisho au kuna vitu vingine ambavyo havijasemwa maana watu tumeshaanza kumuamu wakati nadhani hatujasikia kutoka upande wa pili kuwahusu viongozi wa union yetu huko AR na kwamba kama kulikuwa na maongezi kati yao na Dr Mhando na wapi waliposhindwana.

    Kiukweli kwa upande wangu nimesoma komenti za watu kadhaa kuhusu habari nzima hii na najua baadhi yetu tumeshaliongelea sana swala hili ila nimejaribu kurejea maongezi niliyofanya na kila tuliyejadili nimejikuta ninapungukiwa na maelezo ya upande wa Union . Si kwasababu nataka kumtetea Mhando kwasababu nampenda ila ni kwasababu nataka kupata labda niseme habari kamili maana pamoja na yote sijaweza kusema kuwa alilofanya ni sawa au si sawa maana bado ninaamini kuwa yeye ni mpakwa mafuta wa Mungu na bado anaongozwa na Roho wa Mungu.

    Point yangu ni moja tu ya kwamba ninaamini kutakuwa kulikuwa na vikao kati ya Mhando na Union na kwamba wote nahisi nitakuwa sahihi nikisema kuwa walishindwa kufikia muafaka, ndipo labda wazo la kuanzisha wasabato wapentekoste lilipozaliwa, kama basi sio kwamba wazo hilo lilikuwepo then kukatafutwa sababu ya mtu atengwe/kujitenga au anyang’anywe kibali cha uchungaji kama nilivyosikia kwamba ndicho kilichotokea ili litangazwe kanisa la wasabato wapentekoste. Nimejaribu kuwa mpembuzi yakinifu ila sikufikia majibu sahihi na kwasababu nimeishia bado kwenye maswali ambayo bado najiuliza kuwa kama dr mhando ninayempenda na kumheshimu sana ni nini hasa kilichotokea kwamba akashindwa kujidhili katika mjadala wao na viongozi wake wa union.     Mnisamehe pale nilipowakwaza kwa maana mimi si chochote mbele za Mungu ila Roho wa Mungu ananifanya niwe wa nafasi ya juu katika yeye aniwekeaye mikono, Yesu Kristo. Kama kuna maelezo niliyotoa kwenu yanaonekana kana yanayopingana basi ni tu kwa vile mimi pia ni mwanafunzi katika Kristo na pia nategemewa kufundishwa. Asante kwa kukosolewa kama nimekosea, japo ningeomba uisome paragraph hiyo tena mara ya pili kama kweli inapingana. Uelewa wangu unaonyesha kuwa haipingani!
    Jina la Yesu liinuliwe mbele. Unaposoma mawazo yangu ninapenda ujue kuwa ninampenda Yesu na nina tegemeo ndani yake katika mimi. Kabla ya hapo napenda kutoa ushuhuda huu kwenu ili pia kama kuna kufundishana, name nifundishwe pia.
    Mimi binafsi nilikuwa mmoja wa wale waliopotoka hapo nyuma na sikuwa na haki mbele za Mungu. Ninachojua tu ni kwamba Yesu alinipenda na akaniokoa tena. Nimeikumbatia ile kweli niliyofunuliwa naye ndani yangu. Najisikia huru na kwa hilo nitalihubiri injili ya Yesu daima. Nimekuwa katika kutangatanga kwa zaidi ya miaka kadhaa katika kumtafuta Yesu kila mahali. Nimejifunza mengi ndani na nje ya kanisa la wasabato. Nimekuwa katika shule ya uinjilisti kwa miezi sita nikiwa bado namtafuta Mwana wa Mungu. Ninasema asante kwa Yesu kwa maana aliniona na akanihurumia amenipa nafasi katika kuwa wana wake. Kifo chake si bure ndani ya maisha yangu.
    Ninaomba mjadala kama huu usitumike kutupotosha bali kufundishana. Tukumbuke kuwa mijadala huru kama hii ni mmoja ya yaliyo katika madarasa yetu ya lesson. Kwa waalimu wa lesson wanajua kuwa kuna kujifunza kwa kujieleza kwa uhuru. Mugisha na celebs wengine wametukumbusha huko juu.
    Ingekuwa pigo kubwa kwetu lingekuwa kama Yesu angekiepuka kile kikombe kwa maana basi tungetegemea njia mbadala na si ile ya NEEMA pale kalvari. Wengi wetu bado tumeziba mioyo yetu isiwe huru kwa Mungu na kutumia busara ya kiulimwengu yenye upendeleo na kila lisilo haki mbele za Mungu.
    Ndugu wapendwa, tuwe karibu na Yesu aliyemtuma Roho wake aje atufundishe zaidi. Wazee wa kale walitegemea torati pekee katika kujifunza neon la Mungu lakini kuna wale walioiona haki ya Mungu. Wakati wa Yesu walitumia torati na mafundisho ya Yesu nao pia waliona haki ya Mungu. Sisi kwa upendeleo tuna torati, mafundisho ya Yesu na mafundisho ya Roho wa Mungu, hili ndilo tofauti kati yetu na walio tutangulia. Ningependa kuwaomba wapendwa wote katika imani yetu. Tujifunze na kukubali kujifunza.
    Swala zima la Dr. Mhando kuanzisha kanisa (kama ilivyodhihirishwa na wapendwa huko juu), kwetu tuliolelewa katika imani hii ni la kushtusha sana. Swala la kukutana na Yesu wapendwa tunafundishwa kuwa ni la binafsi kabisa. Kuna wengi walioondoka ndani ya kanisa la wasabato lakini kanisa lilibaki kuwa kanisa. Kama sababu ni la kushindana na viongozi wa kanisa, ndicho kimesababisha Dr. Mhando kuanzisha kanisa lake basi tungejua wameshindwana nini kama wenzangu walivyowahi kusaili hapo juu. Kwa maana saa zingine hata sisi tutaweza kujifunza kwa hilo.
    Nawashukuru kwa kutoa mawazo yaliyo huru kwa vile tunahitaji kujifunza na si kushindana. Wenye kushindana si wamoja na hawako katika imani moja. Sisi tu katika imani moja na ibada moja, tunachohitaji ni kujifunza zaidi.
    Mungu aitawale mawazo yetu daima.

    Kwa kweli hali inasikitisha. Kama tulivyosisitiza hapo juu tuendelee kuombeana ili roho mtakatifu atuongoze maana tulipo na tunapoelekea sipo. Nimepata scan ya gazeti la majira la siku hiyo lilitoa habari na kwa kweli imenisikitisha maana yasemwayo humo ni vigumu kuamini kwamba huyu huyu Dk Mhando ndo ameyasema. Highlights:
    - Msisitizo katika mafundisho ya utajirisho, uponyaji, miujiza, mikesha na ubatizo wa haraka.
    - Kutotumia lesson. Anasema ni nyepesi na hataki kuiona kanisani kwake. Kwamba inawafaa watoto tena wa huko alipoasi, si kwenye kanisa lake la watu wa "upeo mpana".
    - Kanuni za kanisa hazina sera za kusaidia kimwili na kiroho.
    - Wazee wa kanisa kuwa wa kudumu, hata wakianguka kiroho watasaidiwa kurudi kanisani na kuendelea na uzee wao wa kanisa.
    - Hana mpango wa kufa, labda kutwaliwa kwenda mbinguni na hilo likitokea wapo watoto wake watakaorithi na kuendeleza kanisa lake.

    Nadhani kuna na mengine ambayo yamezungumzwa makanisani kwetu na hayaandikwa kwenye vyombo vya habari (kutoka pande zote husika) lakini kwa kweli hali inasikitisha.

    Mungu atubariki tunavyoendelea kumuomba.

  13. I think most of you are writing with emotions. Dr Mhando has been forced out of the SDA church leadership, after being refused to conduct open evangelism by the mother church. The church has no pleasure to see him again preaching about 'utajirisho'. From my view point, Dr Mhando and Evangelist Mwaipape are prayerful people. While most are saying we should pray for them, the contrary is true. They should pray for us to see light and the fading spiritual life of the SDA church, particularly in Tanzania, where women are not allowed to preach, their hair is an issue, too much gossip, adultery in the church is rampant and never rebuked, there is no freedom to start singing groups other than the church choir, etc. How many of those criticizing Mhando have used Matthew 18 and tried to contact him? His email is herrymhando@hotmail.com, would you kindly write to him to get his opinion. I am sure the Majira newspaper has exeggerated the matter, in order to belittle the adventist church in the face of the public. I have spoken to Dr Mhando, and the truth is, he still respects the mother church, but his voice cannot be silenced. The new church, is just another channel through which he is going to continue preaching the gospel without restrictions. And he emphasized that those baptized by him will be free to join any adventist church anywhere.

    I see no problem someone praying for the sick to be healed, the unemployed to get jobs, those writing exams to pass exams, those working to get promotions, those farming to receive a bumper harvest, those keeping cattle to get them multiply faster, the businesses to succeed, etc. These are pre-requisites to becoming rich, so that you can return to the LORD a bumper harvest in terms of tithes and offering. Who said it is wrong to clap and dance in congregational worship? It is the SDA leaders in Tanzania alone! Go to South Africa, The Carribean, and many other places, and you will see a sample of true adventist joyous worship. In ourch churches, people even hardly respond to preaching with 'amens' and 'hallellujahs'! I pray that his ministry succeeds in a mighty way, so that when all those pentecostals receives the truth of the sabbath, we Adventists will be left in the cold! God Bless Mhando

    3.Mikesha ya maombi deliverance ni lazma kwa hii ministry na watu wanapona sana kila jmosi usiku.
    4.mafundisho ya kubarikiwa kifedha kwa utukufu wa Mungu yanatolewa, ukizingatiwa kwa kutoa kwa ukarimu na zaka pia.
    5.na kila sabato baada ya ibada wito unatolewa kwa ubatizo. Dk Pr Mhando hajamwasi Mungu ila ameasi ufarisayo pekee tu. mafundisho mengine yote yanatolewa kama kawaida na hana ugomvi na kanisa bado ni mchungaji wa kiadventista wala hatoi kashfa yoyote kuhusu SDA.wala hazuii mtu kusali SDA, anamini mafundisho yote ya SDA ila utaratibu wa ibada umebadilika kama nilivyoeleza hapo juu na leson inasomwa nyumbani siku ya sabato haijadiliwi.
    ninachoweza kusema watu wa Mungu tusiwe mafarisayo bali tuwe kanisa la kweli la Mungu maana yake mtu anayemtegemea Mungu kwa kila kitu kumfanya kuwa no 1 ndio kanisa la kweli la Mungu hata kama ni waadventista lazma tuwe kanisa la kweli la Mungu, kila tunachofanya tumuweke Yesu awe no 1 kwa kufanya hivyo tutaokolewa Mungu anasema katika kitabu zaburi 91:14 tunapokaza kumpenda Mungu anatuokoa.

    Kusema kweli suala la Mhando mimi binafsi sijalielewa vizuri pamoja na kwamba nimekua nikihudhuria vizuri mahubiri na mikutano, mikesha aliyokua akiiendesha kanisani manzese pamoja na Mwinjilist mwaipape na baadae ikakataliwa na Union.Na siwezi kataa kwamba huduma yake ya uponyaji imenifanyia miujiza mingi sana.

    Ila nilipata ujumbe wa mwaliko kwenye simu yangu ya mkononi kama wiki mbili kabla ya majira kuandika habari hizi na ulikua ni mwaliko wa mkesha pale sinza christian centre nilifika pale nikijua kwamba ni ule mkesha niliouzoea kanisani kilichonishangaza ni kwamba watu walikua wakicheza na kukatika kwa kadri uwezavyo na pia mwaipape akatoa somo kama kawaida ni kuhusu utajiri na uponyaji alafu akafuatia Pastor Twakaniki ambae pia alisema machache kisha akaja Mchungaji mwingina wa kilokole ambae alitangaza rasmi kujiunga na mhando baada ya hapo ndipo alipokuja Dr. Mhando kuhitimisha. Nilipochoka na sikusubiri mkesha nikaondoka na kurudi nyumbani kulala kwani sikai mbali sana na eneo hilo.

    Mhando aliongelea kuhusu kujenga kanisa la kuingia watu 5000 kama sikosei na pia anahitaji wachungaji 300 sina uhakika na hiyo idadi ila nadhani sijakusea kwani nilishangaa ni kanisa kubwa sana na pia akasema kwamba hapo kwenye mkesha huruhusiwi kuja kama huna gari anataka pajae watu na magari na pakiwa hapatoshi atahamia Diamond jubilee katika ibada yao watakua wanasali masaa 2 na hakuna SS kwa nilivyomuelewa kwani hadi sasa wanaingia saa nne na kutoka saa sita. na wanachambua tu mafungu ya biblia yanakubaliana na huduma inayoendeshwa kanisani hapo ya utajirisho na uponyaji. Hakuna kutoa zaka kwani anadai ukiwa maskini huna haja ya kutoa tena kama ila atakuombea na ukifanikiwa utatoa shukrani kutokana na jinsi ulivyobarikiwa. Basi kuanzia hapo nikapata hisia kwamba Mhando ana nia ya kujitenga. Akachagua viongozi wake na wazee wa kanisa na nilishangaa mkuu wa mapambio ni Pastor Twakaniki na Wengine ni kina Prof. Msafiri wa Mwenge, Chagama wa Manzese na wengineo.

    Baada ya hapo Dr. Mhando na waumini wake walikutanika na wapentekoste wote na kufanya mkesha Uwanja wa Taifa usiku wa kuamkia mwaka mpya.

    Nimesikitika sana kwani Dr. Mhando alikua ni Mpakwa mafuta ambae nilimpenda na ninampenda toka alipokuja Suji akitokea India akituambia kwamba anasoma na kurudia Biblia mara tatu kwa mwaka sasa sielewi nifuate lipi. Tusaidiane katika maombi. Tunahitaji Maombi kufunuliwa ukweli. Japo amesema kwamba Watoto wake na Mkwe wake ambae pia ni mchungaji Mndambi hawasali kwenye kanisa lake na hawalazimi ila yeye na mke wake ndio Vinara wa kanisa.

    Na lichokiona siku ya tar 4/1/2009 ni wazi kabisa kanisa limeanza kugawanyika na viongozi wa juu wawaeleweshe waumini wao ili kila mmoja ajue wapi pa kusimama.   19. Chambi asante sana kwa blog hii na pia kwa kuuweka mjadala huu wa Pr. Mhando.
    Kwanza kabisa nimeona mimi niwe upande wa neutral kwa habari nzima ya kujitenga kwa kanisa la Mhando au wengine wameita ministry iliyoanzishwa. So mpaka sasa niko kwenye masalio maana bado sijashawishika na hii ministry mpya ya Mhando ila nina maswali kadhaa hapa na nimeona kuna mwinjilisti wa muumini wa kanisa hilo yuko tayari kujibu maswali yetu namuombea abarikiwe sana na Roho wa Mungu amuongoze anapokuwa akitujibu maswali yetu au mwingine yeyote atakayewiwa au kujua majibu.
    1. Ningependa kujua swala zima la USHIRIKA(Membership) ktk kanisa hilo kuwa kunakuwa na membership na listi ya majina kama huku kwetu kwa masalio maana sioni umuhimu wake kiukweli labda kwaajili ya sensa ambazo hazina umuhimu sana kwangu. Nimeuliza hili maana nimeona kuwa waumini wa hilo kanisa wanaruhusiwa kwenda kanisa lolote la kisabato na sijui inakuwa hivyo hata kwa sisi tunaruhusiwa kwenda bila kufutwa maana najua TZ kuna watu wanapenda kukaa vikao vya kufuta majina ya washiriki wengine, na pia sijui Mhando alivyojitenga ni kwasababu ya kufutwa au jina lake bado liko kwenye vitabu vyetu na waumini wake je? maana nimeona hapo mchangia mada mmoja ametaja Pr. Twakaniki na Prof. Msafiri wa Mwenge nao ndio aje?

Hapa nataka pia kujua kuhusu swala zima la UBATIZO kwenye hilo kanisa maana nimesoma hapo juu kuwa ubatizo ni wa haraka, nanukuu "Msisitizo katika mafundisho ya utajirisho, uponyaji, miujiza, mikesha na ubatizo wa haraka." sasa nilipofikia kwenye msisitizo wa mwisho hapo macho yalipigia mstari, ndio maana nataka kujua huu ubatizo wa haraka unaendana na Matthew 28:19 maana tunaambiwa twende tukawafanye watu kuwa mitume wa mungu kwa maana tukiwafundisha, wakielewa ndipo tuwabatize. Sasa sijui ubatizo wa haraka unatoa mda gani wa mafundisho ili mtu aelewe kabla hajazamishwa majini au ubatizo wa haraka ni kubatizwa kwanza ndipo utajifunza ukishabatizwa? sasa najua hili swali litaleta utata na maelezo ya kiubishi na masahihisho kwa wale ambao hawakunielewa. Please naomba usome tena swali na maelezo yake kwa ufupi mara ya pili kabla hujajibu swali hili ukizingatia kuwa liko wazi kabisa kwenye biblia linahitaji tu kueleweka.

    Ushirika: Mhando aliweka wazi jambo hili siku ya ufunguzi wa kanisa lake. Alisema kwamba ili kuwa mshiriki wa kanisa lake lazima ujitenge au ufutwe ushirika kutoka kwenye kanisa lako la awali.

    Ubatizo: Dr. HM pia alisema kuwa kama ulishabatizwa kwa kuzamishwa. Hakuna haja ya kubatizwa tena ila ukijiunga na kanisa lake utawekewa mikono tu na kuandikisha ushirika wako.

    Kama nilivyosema hapo awali, hayo yote siyo ishu. Ishu kubwa ni ujumbe. Kama Injili ya Yesu, yenye uweza wa kutuokoa kutoka kwenye dhambi zetu (Warumi 1:16), ndiyo inayohubiriwa mimi binafsi sina tatizo kubwa na ndugu yetu. Ila kama Injili ni utajirisho, majigambo, sifa etc, kwa kweli hapo ndo kazi ilipo!

    Kuna jambo muhimu ambalo ningependa kulitaja. Kanisa letu la SDA limejengwa kwenye misingi imara. Our church is built upon principles and doctrines which have been refined over a century. Halitegemei nafsi au mtu mmoja. Hata kama President wa GC akibadilishwa, principle zetu zinabaki pale pale na kanisa linasonga mbele. Makanisa yanayotegemea mtu mmoja tu, mwanzishaji, huwa hayadumu. Experience tells kwamba mtu huyo mmoja anayeshikilia vision/mission ya kanisa lake akiondoka na kanisa lake husambaratika. That should tell us something about our church, which EGW stated long back, "Though perils may come, the church of God shall stand to the very end".

    Kujiunga na kanisa lake lazima ushirika wako ufutwe kutoka kwenye kanisa lako la awali. Kama ulishabatizwa kwa maji mengi, hakuna haja ya kubatizwa tena. Utawekewa mikono tu na kujiandikisha.

    Jambo la msingi kwangu mimi ni ujumbe. Kama injili yenye uweza wa kutuosha dhambi (Warumi 1:16) ndiyo inayohubiriwa, sina neno lolote. Lakini tukumbuke pia kuwa kanisa letu, SDA, limebarikiwa kujengwa na misingi imara. Our doctrines have been refined over centuries. Our church is not built on people but principles. President wa GC akiondoka, bado kanisa litasonga mbele, tofauti na makanisa yanayomtegemea mtu mmoja tu (mwanzishaji). Mtu huyo, anayeshikilia vision ya kanisa lake, akiondoka na kanisa husambaratika.

  22. Uponyaji na Utajirisho

    1.1 Utangulizi
    Mimi mwinjilisti, Nawasalimu katika Yesu Kristo.
    Kazi niliyopewa na Yesu ni kuihubiri habari njema (injili) yenye uhai nayo inatawala katika maisha ya wale waaminio. Kwa hayo nayajibu baadhi ya maswali yaliyoulizwa katika forum hii. Nitaeleza maana ya injili ya Uponyaji na Utajirisho kama inavyoelezwa katika neno la Mungu.

    1.2 Uponyaji
    Uponyaji wa mwili ni sehemu ya neema ya ajabu ya Mungu wetu iletayo wokovu ulimwenguni. Yesu mwenyewe alilipa gharama ya uponyaji wetu kama neno linavyotufundisha. Mahali ambapo kanisa limepoa, uponyaji haufundishwi na watu wengi wanakosa kujua neno hili. Hayo yasitushangaze kwa sababu Yesu alisema “ishara moja itakayofuatana na waaminio ni kwamba wataweka mikono juu ya wagonjwa nao watapona ( Marko 16:18, Marko 6:5). Tupime makanisa kwa ishara ambazo Yesu alitufundisha.

    1.2.1 Maana ya Kifo cha Msalaba
    Yesu mwenyewe alichukua udhaifu wetu na kuyabeba maradhi yetu pale msalabani (Mathayo 8:17). Hii ndiyo thamani ya kifo cha msalaba. Yesu alikufa kwa ajili hiyo, na alifufuka kwa ushindi katika hilo. Kama tunapingana na huduma ya uponyaji basi tunapunguza thamani ya ile damu ya msalabani. Kwa dhabihu yake ya kupatanisha, Yesu alikwisha weka mpango kwa ajili ya sisi kupata wokovu na uponyaji.
    Habari iliyonjema ni kwamba kila mtu binafsi lazima ajipatie uponyaji wake kupitia imani yake. Wengi bado hawajasikia kweli hiyo ya kupendeza kwamba Yesu alichukua magonjwa yao. Wengine wamesikia lakini wamekataa. Ni lazima tuichukie dhambi hapo ndipo lile neno litakapoweza kuleta uponyaji ndani yetu. Hakika, habari hii ni ya kweli, kweli tupu. Ni neno la Yesu Kristo.
    Kila mara Yesu aliwaponya wagonjwa waliomjia, na mara walipoponywa, mara nyingi
    aliwaambia kwamba ni imani yao ndiyo imewaponya. Mungu habadiliki ( Malaki 3:6) na kwamba Yesu Kristo ni “yule yule, jana, na leo na hata milele” (Waebrania 13:8).

    1.2.2 Huduma ya Uponyaji Yaendelezwa na Mitume
    Na huko Listra palikuwa na mtu mmoja, dhaifu wa miguu, kiwete tangu tumboni mwa mamaye, ambaye hajaenda kabisa. Mtu huyo alimsikia Paulo alipokuwa akinena; ambaye akamkazia macho na kuona ya kuwa ana imani ya kuponywa, akasema kwa sauti kuu, Simama kwa miguu yako sawasawa. Akasimama upesi akaenda (Matendo 14:6-10). Hapa tena mtu huyu aliponywa kwa imani yake. Kama asingeamini angebaki amepooza tu, hata ingawa ulikuwa ni mpango wa Mungu kwake kuponywa. Kila mtu lazima aiamini injili kibinafsi kama anataka kuokoka, na kila mtu lazima aamini mwenywe kama anataka kuponywa. Habari njema hii.
    Yeyote aliye mkweli atakubali kwamba uponyaji ulikuwemo katika agano la Mungu na Israeli, kutegemeana na utii wa watu. (Hata Paulo anaweka wazi kabisa katika 1Wakor. 11:27-31) kwamba afya ya kimwili katika agano jipya hutegemeana na utii wetu pia).
    Wanafunzi wa Yesu walihudumu katika uponyaji mara kadhaa na biblia iko wazi katika hiyo.



    Mara nyingi sana Yesu aliponya watu waliomtafuta ili waponywe, Naye alisema imani yao ilihusika na muujiza wao. Hii inathibitisha kwamba Yesu hakuchagua watu fulani aliotaka kuwaponya. Mtu yeyote mgonjwa angeweza kumjia kwa imani na kuponywa. Alitaka kuwaponya wote, lakini alitaka wawe na imani.

    1.2.3 Hudumu ilianza tokea zama za wana wa Israeli
    Utabarikiwa kulio mataifa yote; hakutakuwa na mtu mume wala mke aliye tasa kati yenu wala kati ya wanyama wenu wa mifugo. Na BWANA atakuondolea ugonjwa wote; wala hatatia juu yako maradhi yoyote mabaya uyajuayo ya Misri, lakini atayaweka juu ya wote wakuchukiao (Kumbu. 7:14-15. Maneno mepesi kutilia mkazo).

    1.2.4 Hitimisho
    Kwa somo hilo hapo juu, tumekubali kwa neno linavyosema kuwa huduma hii ni huduma takatifu. Ni hatua ya binafsi sasa kuchukua maamuzi leo na kupokea uponyaji wako. Ni imani yako tu itakayokuponya.

    1.3 Utajirisho

    Tafsiri ya neno hili la utajirisho kwa lugha ya kiingereza ni (prosperity). Neno la Mungu linaipa utajirisho nafasi katika maisha wa wamwaminio. Pengine wengi wana tafsiri potofu ya hili neno utajirisho. Maana nyingine ya Kiswahili ni kutopungukiwa na kitu. Kuwa na vyote tunavyohitaji katika maisha yetu ili tuweze kutokuwa watu tegemezi. Kinyume chake ni upungufu, na umasikini. Tutaona mafungu yanayotufunulia hili linaloonekana baya machoni pa wengine.

    Wagalatia 3:13-14
    Kristo alitukomboa kutoka katika laana ya sheria kwa kufanyika laana kwa ajili yetu, kwa maana imeandikwa, “Amelaaniwa yeye aangikwaye juu ya mti.” Alitukomboa ili kwamba baraka aliyopewa Abrahamu ipate kuwafikia watu Mataifa kwa njia ya Kristo Yesu, ili kwa imani tupate kupokea ile ahadi ya Roho.
    Kwetu tunaohitaji mibaraka hii aliyopewa Abrahamu, kwa nia ya Yesu itatufikia. Neno ni lile lile la imani, hakika utabarikiwa na utajirisho huu.

    Zaburi 35: 27, “Wale wanaofurahia hukumu yangu ya haki na wapige kelele za shangwe na furaha,
    waseme siku zote, “ BWANA atukuzwe, ambaye amefurahia mafanikio ya mtumishi wake.’’ Mpendwa mkristo, wewe ni mtumishi wa Yesu na hakika Bwana Yesu anafurahia mafanikio ya mtumishi wake. Usiache baraka yako isikufikie kwa sababu tu kwamba watu wamesema hawaamini utajirisho, kumbuka neno ni lile lile la imani yako binafsi.

    Mithali 10:22; “Baraka ya BWANA hutajirisha, wala haichanganyi huzuni”. Kuna njia nyingi shetani anayependa mibaraka hii isitufikie ili azidi kututumia kwa vile tunahitaji, atapindisha maneno yanayotoka kinywani kwa watu ili usiamini utajirisho. Amini, na utashuhudia machoni pa ulimwengu.

    3 John 1:2 “Mpenzi, naomba ufanikiwe katika mambo yote na kuwa na afya yako kama vile roho yako ifanikiwavyo”. Na hii ndiyo imani yetu kwa wote waaminio na sisi katika utajirisho.

    2 Wakorintho 9:8 “Naye Mungu aweza kuwapa kila baraka kwa wingi, ili katika mambo yote kila wakati, mwe na kila kitu mnachohitaji, ili mweze kushiriki kwa wingi katika kila kazi njema”.
    Yakobo 1:4 “Saburi na iwe na kazi timilifu, ili mpate kuwa wakamilifu, mmekamilishwa, bila kupungukiwa na kitu cho chote”.

    1.4 Waadventista Wasabato au Wapentekoste Wasabato?
    Katika imani ya Yesu, wale wote wanaoikiri neno la Yesu ni wamoja. Siyo dhehebu ila imani yako itakayokuokoa. Uponyaji na Utajirisho unapatikana kwa neema ya Yesu Kristo katika Roho wa Mungu anayeishi kwa WAAMINIO. Ni wale tu wenye imani ndiyo wanaoipata mibaraka ya uponyaji na utajirisho. Kwa wasioamini sisi si wasemaji wao bali kwa yule anayewafanya wasiamini.

    Kwa maswali zaidi, tuandike kwa anuani ifuatayo, nasi tutakujibu kwa majibu ya utafiti na ufasaha zaidi. Pia ukihitaji mafundisho yetu ya kila wiki Jumamosi, utayapata bure kabisa kwa kutuandikia katika anuani hii ukitueleza kile ungependa kupata.

Kuna mtu hapo juu amesema ya kwamba kanisa hili liko tu pembeni na wala halipondi kanisa la waadventista, na vile vile tumeelezwa kwamba he has been forced out of the SDA leadership kwa sababu mafundisho yake yamekataliwa. Sasa je, Mhando amejitenga na kanisa la waadventista tanzania, au amejitenga na kanisa la adventista dunia? Yani, is he still responsible to the General Conference, au kuanza kwake ndo makao makuu ya hilo kanisa lake?

    Pili, mwinjilisti uliyetoa mafundisho hapo juu, unaweza kutueleza ni kitu gani haswa ambacho nyinyi hamkubaliani na kanisa la waadventista wasabato ambalo limewafanya mjitenge?

  29. Mojawapo ya mambo ambayo naona yanapotosha ukweli na uhalisia wa neno la mungu ni hili la zaka na sadaka. Kuna mtu hapo juu amesema ya kwamba huko kwa Mhando watu hawatakiwi kutoa zaka na sadaka, ila waje tu na watatoa pale mungu atakapowabariki. Lakini biblia hii hii tuisomayo Mungu anatuambia tumjaribu kwa kutoa, tuone jinsi atakavyotujazia mpaka tukose mahala pa kuweka. Sasa hii stand ya mhando katika hili inafanya agizo la Mungu ligeuzwe. Ya kwamba sasa mungu asipotupa hatutoi, akitupa ndo tunatoa.

    Wapendwa, swala ni lile lile la IMANI. Imani isipokuwepo, maswali yanakuwa mengi na majibu ya maswali haya ni katika yeye aliyelipa mateso yetu kwa gharama kuu pale kalvari. Yesu siyo wa kusema asipotupa. Kifo chake pale msalabani ni tosha na ni la kutuondolea mateso yote. Na thamani ya kifo kile kinatupa uponyaji na utajirisho. Hii ndiyo imani inayotoka katika maandiko na hatuna wasiwasi kabisa wa kutobarikiwa. Kwa hili wapendwa tunajua kuwa ni la Bwana wetu Yesu wala hatuna wasiwasi wa kutotubariki. Tuna imani ndiyo maana tunafundisha kwa imani hiyo pia. Wote walio na imani ya Yesu kwamba kifo chake kilitufungulia uponyaji na utajirisho hakika swali hili halipo. Najua hili ni swali katika madhehebu mbalimbali ambayo yana wasiwasi na kupingana na uwezo wa ile damu ya Yesu pale msalabani.
    WAPENDWA, ZAKA NA SADAKA NI MAFUNDISHO YANAYOTOKA KATIKA NENO LA MUNGU. NI SEHEMU YA SOMO LA UTAJIRISHO. SOMO LINALOPINGWA NA WENZETU. UNAPOBARIKIWA NA MUNGU UNAPATA MOJA YA KUMI YA ZAKA NA SADAKA. HII NDIYO IMPENDEZAVYO MUNGU.

  34. Ndugu Wanamjadala, Roho wa Mungu na atawale mjadala wetu. Ni vyema tukaendelea na mjadala wetu kwa roho ya uvumilivu, unyenyekevu na uelewa ili tuzidi kuelimishana kuhusu ukweli kuhusu suala hili.     Report on Hope International and Associated Groups

    Introduction

    As a result of concerns raised by then General Conference President, Robert S Folkenberg and several world division presidents, the General Conference Administrative Committee (ADCOM), in early 1998, established an ad hoc committee to interview the leadership of Hope International, publishers of "Our Firm Foundation," and two other private groups, Hartland Institute, headquartered in the United States, and Remnant Ministries, based in Australia.

    The committee, comprised of General Conference Biblical Research Institute scholars, General Conference administrators, and Andrews University Seminary instructors, developed a 20-question instrument that was the basis of their inquiry and appraisal. The leaders of Hope International and its associated groups accepted the committee's invitation to answer the questions. They met with the General Conference appointed group on two occasions for a total of three and one-half days. The following report constitutes the committee's assessment of their responses, both written and verbal, and its evaluation of results of research done by individuals contracted specifically to study the theology and methodology of Hope International and associates.

    ADCOM received the ad hoc committee's conclusions on April 25, 2000 and, in light of the questions raised by church membership in general over the years, voted to share this information with the world Church.


    Report

    All of us would agree that Christ is the Head of the Church. As Ellen G White wrote, "Nothing else in this world is so dear to God as His church. Nothing is guarded by Him with such jealous care" (TM 42). But the Church is made up of mortals in constant need of His presence and guidance.

    For these reasons there is great need for revival and reformation in the Seventh-day Adventist Church as it faces the final chapter in the great controversy. No one will question the importance for church administrators, pastors, teachers, and laypersons to be personally involved in the task of calling the whole Church back to the purity of faith and Christian living as found in the Scriptures. Such revival is simply indispensable for the effective fulfillment of the mission of the Church. Our message and mission should be constantly reaffirmed through voice and action until the glory of the Lord is revealed throughout the world by a people who are totally committed to Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

    Therefore the emphasis on revival and reformation we found in the message of Hope International, Hartland Institute, and Remnant Ministries (hereafter referred to as Hope International and associates) is welcomed. Further, we observed in conversations with Hope International and associates that they affirmed agreement on many of the major elements of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

    However, the method they have used to express their concern has resulted in what is perceived by many to be a spirit of constant criticism directed against the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which is the body of Christ, the Remnant Church. The effect of this methodology is the discouraging portrayal of the Church as steeped in a state of apostasy. After studying their materials and meeting with their leaders, we have some serious concerns with respect to the nature and purpose of Hope International and associates.


    Areas of Serious Concern

    1. Charge of Apostasy Against the Seventh-day Adventist Church

    According to Hope International and associates, it is an understatement to say that there is apostasy in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Church itself is in apostasy! Therefore the condition of the Church is worse than that of any other Christian religious body that forms the end-time Babylon. They are not willing to refer openly to the Seventh-day Adventist Church as Babylon because of the occasions in which Ellen G White opposed those who made such accusations. Yet they have found a way to bypass her counsel by accusing the Church of being in apostasy. We have not found a single case where Ellen G White or the book of Revelation accuses God's remnant people of being in apostasy. It is this charge of apostasy against the Church that keeps Hope International and associates alive.

    If the Church is in apostasy, it has no reason to exist and the Lord must raise up a new church as His instrument for these last days. Hope International and associates see themselves as spokespersons for those who perceive that the Church is in apostasy, and they believe that they have a divine mandate to catalogue and publicize this apostasy and to call the Church to repentance. Although we acknowledge that there is apostasy in the Church—Jesus Himself acknowledged the co-existence of wheat and tares in the Church—we reject the blatant and irresponsible accusation that God's Remnant Church is in apostasy. Their definition of apostasy as "any deviation from God's truth or mandated Christian practice" is not found in the Bible or in the writings of Ellen G White.

    2. Distorted View of the Nature of the Church

    It is our clear impression that Hope International and associates believe that the Church is composed of both an organized system of administration and a parallel self-supporting ministry independent of the organized system. We understand their position to be that, as divinely-appointed self-supporting ministries, they are not ultimately bound by the decisions of the world Church. This model of church organization is used by them to justify their activities. Such understanding of the Church lacks any biblical support and is not found in the writings of Ellen G White. Although we acknowledge the need for supportive ministries within the Church, we perceive Hope International and associates as having parallel organizational structures separate to, and critical of, the official Church organization. Support for this perception is found in the following characteristics of their organizations:

    a. Diverse Understanding of Doctrinal Positions

    Though strongly affirming their support for the Seventh-day Adventist Statement of Fundamental Beliefs, Hope International and associates seem to have some reservations with respect to several of them. One such reservation concerns "The Son" (#4). In this particular case they have taken a position different from that of the Church by making their particular understanding of the human nature of Christ part of the doctrine. On the topic of the Church (#11 and #13) their understanding of its nature and authority does not seem to reflect the doctrine of ecclesiology as held by the Church (see below). The same applies to the statement on "Stewardship" (#20).

    b. Reluctance to Accept the Authority of the Church

    Although acknowledging that the Church has a God-given authority, Hope International and associates do not consider the authority of the Church to be final in the community of believers. It is the Seventh-day Adventist position that the Church was formed when a group of believers voluntarily, and under the conviction of the Holy Spirit, accepted a common gospel, a common lifestyle, and a common mission, understood to be based on the authority of the Scriptures. This community was vested with authority by Christ (Matt 18:15-18). Decisions made by the properly appointed representatives of the Church community are binding on all members who, in order to preserve the unity of the Church and to facilitate the fulfillment of its mission, are willing to set aside personal opinions and/or practices to follow the decisions of the body. But if elements of that community break the common bond that unites it, by developing a judgmental attitude against the authority of the community, the result is confusion and insubordination. Hope International and associates appear to have taken the position that their interpretation of the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy is the final arbiter over the Church, to determine whether its decisions are correct or not. If, in their judgment, a decision is not correct, they reject it and proceed to believe and act as they think best, while at the same time claiming to be loyal members of the Church. That attitude is consistent with the spirit of schism and, at the present time, contributes to undermining the authority of the Church.

    Self-supporting ministries are to work harmoniously with the Church. Paul, who is often referred to as a self-supporting worker was, after his conversion, brought by the Lord into a permanent connection with the Church. In that context we are told:

    "God has made His church on the earth a channel of light, and through it He communicates His purposes and His will. He does not give to one of His servants an experience independent of and contrary to the experience of the church itself. Neither does He give one man a knowledge of His will for the entire church while the church—Christ's body—is left in darkness . . . .

    "There have ever been in the church those who are constantly inclined toward individual independence. They seem unable to realize that independence of spirit is liable to lead the human agent to have too much confidence in himself and to trust in his own judgment rather than to respect the counsel and highly esteem the judgment of his brethren, especially of those in the offices that God has appointed for the leadership of His people. God has invested His church with special authority and power which no one can be justified in disregarding and despising, for he who does this despises the voice of God.

    "Those who are inclined to regard their individual judgment as supreme are in grave peril."—AA 163, 164.

    c. Rewriting of the Baptismal Vow

    A Baptismal Vow was put together by Colin Standish using the 1932 Church Manual and other sources. An examination of this baptismal vow reveals that it is significantly different from what is found in the current Church Manual as approved by the world Church. Among the differences are the following:

    1) A new fundamental belief added as a requirement for joining the Church: that "Jesus took upon Himself our fallen nature." Such statement has never been part of the Seventh-day Adventist Baptismal Vow or of official statements of fundamental beliefs. Such change illustrates an independence from the Church in doctrinal matters as they constitute their own particular views into tests of faith, independent from the remainder of the Church.

    2) The vow dealing with tithing does not identify the Church as the repository of tithe, as does the official Baptismal Vow.

    3) In the rewritten Baptismal Vow, the Seventh-day Adventist Church does not receive a mention. The Remnant Church is mentioned, but it is never identified with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The fundamental question here is one of the nature and authority of the Church and where that authority resides. Those who promote the use of this reworded Baptismal Vow demonstrate that they do not recognize the authority of the organized Seventh-day Adventist Church.

    d. Redefinition of the Tithe "Storehouse"

    The financial support of their organizations comes, not only from their own earnings, nor only from the offerings of church members, but also from tithes. Some of their publications redefine the "storehouse" to be any instrument of God that is proclaiming "unadulterated present truth." Whether intended or not, the influence of such literature is to encourage members to redirect their tithe away from the Church "storehouse," and to invest it instead with these independent ministries.

    e. Conducting Their Own Camp Meetings

    Every year they conduct their own camp meetings, usually without the concurrence of the conference administration. They express that the need for such camp meetings arises from their perception that the Seventh-day Adventist Church is in apostasy, and is therefore incapable of meeting the spiritual needs of its members through the regular conference camp meetings.

    f. Operating Their Own Publishing Enterprises

    Hope International and associates have their own publishing program for the production of materials promoting their views on different doctrines and lifestyle issues. While much of this material is Adventist in character, there are numerous examples of a judgmental attitude against the organized Church and its leaders and, from time to time, assertions that the Church is in apostasy. Whatever truths these periodicals contain are more than discounted by a recurring critical refrain.

    3. Supporting Dissident Movements

    Hope International and associates have supported, and continue to support, dissident movements who turn against the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its organization. They have been supporting Norberto Restrepo in Columbia and Venezuela, a former Seventh-day Adventist minister who is no longer an Adventist, and is rather one of the most severe enemies of the Church in the Inter-American Division. In 1997 they supported a group of church elders in Guatemala who rebelled against the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and they sent one of their representatives to Guatemala to support them. Recently they supported, in a court of law, a non-Adventist who was attempting to use the name of the Church for his own organization. Their encouragement of breakaway activities in the following countries, and others besides, is well documented: Australia, Bolivia, England, Fiji, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, New Zealand, Macedonia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sweden, United States of America, Vanuatu, Zimbabwe. These associations do nothing to build confidence in the professed loyalty of Hope International and associates to the Church. Rather, it is a powerful evidence of their disregard for the carefully considered decisions of the Church, and it amounts to disloyalty to the Church itself. Their misdirected support interferes with the regular organization's attempts to deal with, and hopefully redeem, such dissident individuals, and makes the task of the Church more difficult.

    4. Selectively Using Ellen G White Writings

    Hope International and associates pride themselves in their profuse use of the writings of Ellen G White to support their teachings. But they select statements that seem to support themselves, while disregarding other statements in which activities such as theirs are clearly condemned by Ellen G White. Her overriding support of the organized Seventh-day Adventist Church is intentionally minimized or ignored by Hope International and associates, or explained away as irrelevant for us today.


    Conclusion

    The accumulative effect of the above information results in the perception of many Church members that Hope International and associates are offshoot organizations. They have not taken the decisive step of officially separating themselves from the Seventh-day Adventist organization, and they claim that they never will. However, by rejecting the authority of the world Church in session when their interpretation of Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy differs from that of the Church, they have set their authority above that of the world Church and operate in a manner that is consistent with offshoot movements.


    An Appeal

    We appeal, in all sincerity and Christian love, to Hope International and associates to hear the counsel of the Church they claim to love. It is time for the spirit of condemnation and rebellion to be set aside, allowing the reconciling blood of Christ to bring unity among His people.

    All agree that there is serious need for revival and reformation in God's Remnant Church, but the methods used by Hope International and associates have produced dissonance instead of reform. When assessed by their fruits, it is seen that the movement of reform promoted by Hope International and associates has failed to bring about either reformation or increased unity. The Church is not perfect, but there is wisdom in listening to its advice. We appeal, in Christian love, for a turn of heart and purpose that will bring Hope International and associates into full unity with the body of Christ, the Remnant Church.

    If Hope International and associates cannot bring themselves into harmony with the body of the world Church, clearly evidenced within twelve months, the Seventh-day Adventist Church may need to consider whether there exists a "persistent refusal to recognize properly constituted church authority or to submit to the order and discipline of the church" (Church Manual p 169).

Miujiza sio ishara ya kulitamburisha kanisa la Mungu maana hata shetani pia hujigeuza malaika wa nuru na kufanya hiyo miujiza ila ndani ya kanisa la Mungu miujiza ipo hata maisha yetu yenyewe ni miujiza tosha tunavyopumua,tunavyolala na kuamka asubuhi huo ni muujiza tosha. Mathayo 24:23-25 imetuonya tuwe wasomaji wa neno ndugu zangu na roho wa Mungu atusaidie maana hao manabii wa uongo tusifikiri watatoka porini au watatoka ndani ya kanisa.

    Pia Chambi naomba utusaidie kupata maelezo ya upande wa pili ambao ni uongozi wa kanisa la SDA maana kwenye gazeti la majira 29, Muhando alisema alipewa baraka zote za kuanzisha kanisa na askofu mkuu wa SDA Kajura na watakuwa wakikutana na kujifunza pamoja na kurekebishana.Maana kajura hakujibu alipoulizwa, tusaidie kwa hilo ndugu yetu tusaidiane kwa upana zaidi.

  40. Mwinjilisti uliyetoaa pointi 7 hapo juu, nashukuru kwa maelezo. Ila ningependa kujua, ministry hii iko chini ya kanisa gani? Yesu aliagiza uinjilisti uendelee duniani kote, lakini vile vile mpangilia na utaratibu unakuwepo katika mfumo wa kanisa. Ndo maana hata ujumbe wa ufunuo umeandikwa kwa makanisa saba. Sasa hi ministry iko chini ya kanisa gani? Na huu mjumuiko wa madhehebu yote kuja kusali pamoja (sisemi kwamba ni vibaya) mnau-handle vip? Maana watu huko watokapo wana imani na taratibu zinazotofautiana kidogo. Au ndo muungano wa makanisa ambao umeshawahi kuongelewa huko nyuma? Hebu tupe mwangaza kidogo.

    We should not be quick to judge others. One thing we should ask ourselves as SDA's is,

    1.In what way have we contributed to Dr. Herry Mhando leaving the main stream Church? Is there something new that we don't want to learn from others? just because we don't agree with what he preaches does not make him wrong.

    2.I know there is a problem with our church. Some people also don't agree with Pastor Sequerra with his message of righteousness by faith. Does that mean he is wrong?

    3.Dr. Mhando maybe has chosen not to be silenced by the Church. I know how many restrictions have been imposed on Pastor Sequerra because SDA's think he simplifies the message of salvation.

    All I know is, salvation is easy and free for all who accept Christ as their saviour but human beings try to make it look very difficult. I believe once you accept the Lord and search Him daily He will guide us in the way He will want us to live, dress, eat and even worship him.

    4.When none SDA's come to our churches we are quick to scorn at them in their earrings and make up. Why don't we accept them the way they are and as they learn they will discover the truth. Are we drawing people to Christ or not?

    5. Why do SDA's look down upon other churches or denominations why is that?

    6. Why is there un-equality in the mainstream church I mean from the General Conference to the Local Church?

    7. Can someone tell me why a pastor trained in Africa cannot Pastor a church in Canada or U.S.A.? Pastors from Africa suffer in USA and Canada.

    8. Pastors in Canada and USA live well while Pastors in African in local churches languish in poverty. If God is a God of riches why does he allow that to happen in his church?

    Thanks for trying to answer my questions. I know about the church history very well and about E.G. white.

    Please answer my questions about all that is going on in the church. Is the SDA church perfect? if yes/no. Then we will be held accountable for any soul that is lost because we proclaim to be the remnant church. What is your thought? Remember all that you are quoting is not the Bible but publication of the SDA church.
    How can you convince a non adventist using the Bible only? Remember E.G. White's writings are not the word of God, only the Bible is the word of God. SDA's tend to put her writings above the Bible and that is a very dangerous thing. Square me out with the word of God only which is the Bible.

Pia wapo wanaohudhuria katika makanisa mbalimbali kwa vile Mungu anayeona ndani ya mioyo yetu ameisha wachagua kuwa wajumbe wake popote walipo.

    I tend to agree with anonym from CANADA. As far as I am concerned, White’s writings are not a replacement of the Bible. Our standard for doctrine is the Bible only and we must base in the word of God.
    White in her own words "Although I am as dependent upon the Spirit of the Lord in writing my views as I am in receiving them, yet the words I employ in describing what I have seen are my own." EGW, Selected Messages, 3 bks. (Washington: RHPA, 1958¬58¬80), bk. l, p. 37.
    For the sake of the truth, let us focus in the BIBLE.

    I still have a problem with your sect/ministry/church. People come to you with the hope of getting rich as their first priority, salvation is somewhere down the list. Please strive to convince me otherwise.

    Someone also asked up there which church you belong to since you said you are just a ministry. Also the dangers of confusion in faith (since people to your congregation come from different churches and background) arises and it has been asked how you counter this. Please extrapolate...

Huyu ni shetani anamjaribu Yesu. Swali ninani anyetangaza leo ibada inayoambatana na fahari za utajirisho?
    2. Mathayo 6.7,8 "`Mnaposali msirudie maneno yale yale kama wafanyavyo watu wa mataifa wasiomjua Mungu. Kwa maana wao hudhani kwamba watasi kilizwa kwa sababu ya wingi wa maneno yao. 8Msiwe kama wao, kwa sababu Baba yenu anajua mahitaji yenu hata kabla hamjaomba." Swali ni nani leo anaingiza ibada ya kupampayukia Mungu muda mrefu kama vile hajui hitaji letu. Je Mungu wetu amegeuzwa kuwa mchezo? Mimi ninavyoelewa ni manabii wa baali ndio eliya aliwakebehi kuwa pazeni sauti huenda amelala!
    3. Matahyo 6.24 "Hakuna mtu anayeweza kuwatumikia mabwana wawili, kwa sababu, ama atamchukia mmoja na kumpenda mwingine, au atamthamini mmoja na kumdharau mwingine. Huwezi kumtumikia Mungu na mali.''" Swali langu ni nani leo anayeshauri watu watumikie mabwana wawili?
    4. Matahyo 6.33, "Lakini uta futeni kwanza Ufalme wa mbinguni na haki yake, na haya yote mtaongezewa." Swali langu, ni nani leo anayewashauri watu watafute mali na ufalme nafasi ya pili?
    5. Matahyo 7.21-23, "`Si kila mtu anayesema, `Bwana, Bwana,' ambaye ataingia katika Ufalme wa mbinguni ila ni wale wanaofanya mapenzi ya Baba yangu aliye mbinguni. 22Siku ile itakapofika wengi wata niambia, `Bwana, Bwana, hatukutoa unabii na kufukuza pepo kwa jina lako; na kufanya miujiza mingi ya ajabu kwa jina lako?' 23Ndipo nitawaambia wazi, `Sikuwafahamu kamwe. Ondokeni kwangu ninyi watenda maovu!'" Swali langu, ni nani leo anayetumia muujiza kama kigezo cha ukubali wa Mungu?
    6. Mathayo Matayo 12.30 "`Mtu asiyekuwa pamoja nami ananipinga; na mtu ambaye hakusanyi pamoja nami, anatawanya." Swali ninani anayetawanya kondoo wa Yesu, kwa kuasi umoja wa kanisa? Ni wazi, Yesu alisema ni mbwa mwitu!
    7.Mawazo ya binadamu siku zote hayafiki mbali. Petro alimpinga Yesu asiende msalabani wakati uhai wake wa milele unategemea kifo cha Yesu Msalabani. Petro na mwenzake Yuda walitegemea Yesu awe mfalme wa Yudea, wakati mawazo ya Mungu ni ufalme wa umilele. akina petro wa leo wanaangalia malipo ya hapo ili wasahau ya milele! Matayo 16.21-26 21Tangu wakati huo Yesu alianza kuwaeleza wanafunzi wake kwamba hana budi kwenda Yerusalemu na kupata mateso mengi kutoka kwa wazee, makuhani wakuu na walimu wa sheria; na kwamba atauawa na siku ya tatu atafufuliwa.

    22Petro akamchukua kando akaanza kumkemea akamwambia, ``Mungu apishie hayo mbali! Jambo hili halitakupata kamwe!'' 23Lakini Yesu akageuka akamwambia Petro , ``Toka mbele yangu, Shetani! Wewe ni kikwazo kwangu. Mawazo hayo si ya Mungu bali ya binadamu.''

    24Ndipo Yesu akawaambia wanafunzi wake, ``Mtu akitaka kuni fuata, ni lazima ajikane mwenyewe na achukue msalaba wake, anifu ate. 25Kwa maana mtu akitaka kuokoa nafsi yake, ataipoteza; lakini mtu atakayeipoteza nafsi yake kwa ajili yangu, ataipata tena.

    8. Mathayo 24.10-11 "10Wakati huo, wengi wataacha imani yao, watasalitiana na kuchukiana, 11na watatokea manabii wengi wa uongo ambao watawapotosha watu" Swali nani anayeacha imani leo, na kusaliti, na kufanya ishara za uongo ili kupotosha watu?
    9.Mathayo 24.24,25 - "24Kwa maana watatokea makristo na manabii wa uongo na watafanya ishara za ajabu na miujiza mingi ili kuwadanganya, hata ikiwezekana, wateule wa Mungu. 25Angalieni, nawatahadharisha mapema." Ni nani leo nafanya ishara na maajabu ili kuwapoteza yumkin hata wateule?
    10. Siku hizi za mwisho, kuna watu wawili wanowakilisha watumishi siku za mwisho. Wanaolisha watu neno la Mungu na wanoingia celebration movement, kwa kushiriki kumbi za disko eti kwa vile Yesu amechelewa, na kuwapiga ndugu kwa fimbo za lawama: Mathayo 25.45-51" 45``Basi, ni nani mtumishi mwaminifu ambaye bwana wake amemweka awe msimamizi wa watumishi wengine nyumbani kwake, awape posho yao kwa wakati wake? 46Heri mtumishi ambaye atakapokuja bwana wake atamkuta anafanya hivyo. 47Nawaambieni kweli, atam fanya mtumishi huyo asimamie mali yake yote.

    For the sake of the Truth in Christ we ‘interpolate’ in the Bible and do not extrapolate from nowhere!…
    Just to give outlines of the ministry, we can categorize ministries into two groups
    1. Church organized ministries:
    In this category, church will organize and plan for the ministry, these include; Stewardship & Development ministries, Youth & Education, etc. This kind of ministry is based on the church organization.
    2. Personal call ministry
    Liturgical Ministries (e.g. music ministries), Social Outreach, etc

    Ministry is a special service that provides spiritual growth. It is a call from God himself, whether as a church organized ministry or a call to a person himself.
    Unless we are ready to hear the voice of God, we will understand His call in us. Each of us has a call of God.
    Everyone has a special call in a special way. Chambi has this web blog ministry (is it?) where we can communicate and learn. God can transform any knowledge into a ministry service. The following are examples of special calls:
    1. Encouraging people,
    2. visiting sick in hospitals, or those in jails, or in problems, or orphans, or street kids, etc.
    3. Using tracks to bring people to Jesus
    4. Songs (quartets),
    5. smiling face,
    6. speaking tones,
    7. laughter, etc.

    Jesus Himself had a ministry, John the Baptist, Paul and others are examples. Mwinjilist or desk of evangelists can explain more or otherwise,

Niliposoma majira kuna kipengele kimevuta usomaji wangu kuhusu hii ministry kuwa ni ya Mhando na kwamba hana mpango wakufa ila kama ikitokea hivyo watoto wake wapo wataendeleza. Inamana hili ni kanisa/ministry mali ya familia ya Mhando au mwandishi wa majira ameongeza hili swali na jibu lake au ni uelevu wangu mdogo? Naomba kueleweswa kwa mwenye jibu sahihi, japo ninadhani makao makuu ya hili kanisa ni Dar, je kumeshakuwa na makundi sehemu nyingine yeyote duniani au kwasababu ndio limeanza halijawa na makundi. Je kuna mpango wa kufungua makundi au makanisa mengine ya ministry hii au la? nimeuliza hayo maana majira imesema kuwa ni yeye tu Pr. Mhando atakaye hubiri sikuzote hii inakuaje? inamana hamna mwingine anayeweza kuhubiri au Mhando amekataza maana ndio policy ya hiyo ministry yake, au ndio hiyo habari ya kuwa Kanisa la familia ya Mhando so siku asipokuwepo labda ata-appoint mwanae ahubiri onbehaf, au ndo zile za kuwekewa tape za Mhando asipokuwapo?

  56. Hi everywhere? It was wonderful to me when I saw everyone standing and condemning Dr. Henry Mhando. For a time now, I have been watching hat a kind of church are we. We do not like changes, we think that we are the only church which will inherit the kingdom. We dont know that the church will never enter the kingdom, but only and only those who adheres to the commandments of God and His faith.

    The departure of Dr. Mhando and many subdivisions we see in the church is being operated by the top leaders.

Kanisa letu lina utaratibu ambao kila muumini anapaswa kuufuata.Sikubaliani na madai ya wanaomtetea Dr. Mhando kwa madai kuwa hajaasi misingi ya kanisa.Suala la kujitenga kwa namna yeyote ni uasi dhidi ya Kanisa Mungu pia.Tumsaidie Mhando na wafuasi wake watubu warudi kanisani sio kutetea anachofanya.

    wapendwa katika bwana! mimi nasali kanisa la wasabato huku visiwani zanzibar.lakini kuna mama mmoja ambaye kwa kabila ni mpare,huyu mama si mkaazi wa hapa kwetu visiwani lakini yu aja kwa mwanawe ambaye anafanyakazi huku na tena ni mwimbaji.huyu mama inaelezwa hapo awali alikuwa muumini mzuri wa kanisa la mungu la sabato hii ya kawaida tunayoifahamu,lakini mama huyu baadaye alianza kukataa kwenda kanisani akidai mafundisho sio sahihi kabisa! wachungaji waliopo hapa na wale ambao wakati fulani walikuja hapa kwa ajili ya makambi walijaribu kwenda kuzungumza naye lakini wakatopa patupu! mama huyu ama kwa kweli hakuna swali ambalo ataulizwa kuhusu Biblia asilitolee jibu,na hata huo msimamo wake anamudu kuutetea vilivyo hatua ambayo iliwafanya wachungaji kuwaonya waumini wengine kutojadili masuala hayo na mama huyo kwani mimi mwenyewe binafsi niliwahi kwenda kumsalimia na nikajaribu kuongea naye kwa kweli sio mchezo kama usipokuwa makini basi anakuchukua na nilifika wakati nikaona anasema ukweli.

    1. mama huyu kwanza anapinga wasabato wanawake kuvaa hereni anasema hakuna sababu.
