Children Story at Edinburgh SDA Church

It was indeed a wonderful Sabbath capped with a touching children story! This was a story of how as a child, the pastor witnessed his grandfather - a British - meeting a German Soldier towards the end of World War II in a Beach in Britain. Even though they had been enemies during that War, the grandad was forgiving enough to show kindness to the soldier. They soon became friends and the soldier made a very nice artifact that the pastor still keeps until today. The story left a strong impression throughout his life about Christ's lesson on loving our enemies.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." - Jesus Christ in Matthew 5: 44-45.
